Hello everyone,

My name is Desiree Russell and I am currently a student at STFX and volunteering with the AALP for Antigonish. I am just wondering what might be the best way to hand prizes out from the treasure chest while attending an assembly? Giving teachers individual bags for classrooms, being at the exit for single child choosing, ect? Any suggestions would be wonderful.

Hi - I am Norma working in a library in an elementary school. Last year we gave out books at our assemblies. Two students from each class were recognized for their reading. We have 9 classrooms and were lucky enough to have enough books to award two per class for the duration of the program. The students really looked forward to this which proved to be an incentive for the whole school to READ!
My question is - The first month of the program run from Nov 24-Dec 24. What is the time frame for registering the total of books read for the month. I noticed this morning schools are still registering and it is only 10 days before we register books read for the second month of the program? Thank you.

Does anyone know what the time frame is to register "books read" for the month. I understand it goes from the 24th to the 24th ofthe following month. Do we need to register within a week of the cut off time? Some schools are not registering until nearly the time to register for the following month. I notice some schools are really getting a fantastic average - don't understand how they are doing it. I feel our school is doing very well in the amount of books they are reading but are only 1/4 of the average of some others???????????
